have heard of this a million times
that there is there someone your & mine

down these roads of mindsets and thoughts
we're counting on things that we were taught

we fight for a constant, but in vain
inevitable is the change they say

you hold my hand as I catch my breath
untangling emotions alive and dead

the crossroads lead us to different walks
yet there's something that sustains the talks

maybe the future is benign
maybe we are just waiting for a sign
